Weak demand impacts US & European benzene prices yesterday

Benzene prices went down in Europe on Wednesday (1st Oct) due to weak downstream product prices in the region. In US also, benzene trends fell from weak demand.
In Europe, benzene prices slipped US$ 15/ton or 1.12 percent and were assessed at US$ 1320/ton on Wednesday, as compared to Tuesday.
US benzene trends too declined and were quoted at 422 cents/gallon on 1st Oct.
The European contract price for the month of October 2014 was fully settled at the € 1045/ton CIF ARA, higher by € 6/ton as compared to the contract prices of September.
