Roland DG Corporation, one of the leading Japanese manufacturers of wide-format inkjet printers, has launched an inkjet digital textile printer under the brand ‘Texart’, named RT-640.

The RT-640 printer is a state-of-the-art, dye sublimation transfer printer featuring innovative print control technology with powerful Raster Image Processing (RIP) software. The Texart ink offers a broader range of colors, enabling vivid printing with high contrast.

Through the RT-640 printer’s optimized print control technology, beautifully sharp print image quality can be achieved to bring out the full expressive powers of Texart ink. The printer helps deliver the refined and expressive power of textiles, right down to the finest detail.

The digital textile printer offers numerous features for digital textile productions. Among entry-level dye sublimation transfer printers, the RT-640 printer has achieved the industry’s highest level of practical print speed, the company said in a press release.

Developed specifically for textiles, the RT-640 printer provides superb quality, vivid colouring, and highly stable performance. The RT-640 printer uses a wide range of applications including apparels, signs, interior décors, and original goods.

The general manager of the textile market development department of Roland DG Corporation, Yuko Maeda said, “The newly developed Texart ink delivers bold and vibrant colors inks that increases the color gamut and allows for exceptional reds, oranges, deep blues and purples, while light cyan and light magenta provide subtle gradation and a remarkably fine level of detail.”

“Roland DG Corporation has provided the market with a number of solutions including the manufacture of soft signage printed on fabric (such as polyester banners and flags) and decorations on sportswear garments. And now we offer a dedicated brand for textiles that has been developed to capitalize on the increasing size and growth potential of the market,” he added.
