PX, PTA & PSF prices drop in Far East Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were offered in the range of US$ 1075/ton to US$ 1080/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 1060/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were offered in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1115/ton.
 
PTA prices plunged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 795/ton to US$ 800/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 775/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 815/ton to US$ 820/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices inched down and were offered in the range of RMB 5760/ton to RMB 5810/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1465ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted at US$ 1450/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices moved down and were quoted in the range of 66.50 cents/pound to 67.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton and € 1000/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices went down in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were quoted at US$ 780/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 810/ton to US$ 815/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices dropped and were assessed in the range of RMB 5570/ton to RMB 5620/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1260/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1280/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices dropped and were assessed in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1080/ton to US$ 1100/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1130/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices dipped and were offered in the range of RMB 7425/ton to RMB 7475/ton.
 
PSF prices plunged in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices decreased to US$ 1235/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices plunged to US$ 1135/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8075/ton.
 
Inthe Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY declined to RMB 8550/ton, while DTY and FDY prices kept inert at RMB 10650/ton and RMB 8750/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY decreased to US$ 1160/ton, US$ 1460/ton and US$ 1175/ton, respectively.
