PTA and MEG prices move up in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices went up and were offered in the range of US$ 1080/ton to US$ 1085/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices inched up and were quoted at US$ 1065/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1075/ton to US$ 1080/ton.
 
PTA prices moved up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices climbed up and were quoted in the range of US$ 800/ton to US$ 805/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were offered at US$ 780/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 770/ton to US$ 775/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 5775/ton to RMB 5825/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices went down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1455ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted at US$ 1450/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of 66.50 cents/pound to 67.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton and € 1000/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices shot up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices went up and were quoted at US$ 805/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices fell and were assessed in the range of US$ 770/ton to US$ 775/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices moved up and were assessed in the range of RMB 5850/ton to RMB 5900/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept stable in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1260/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1280/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices dropped and were assessed in the range of RMB 7875/ton to RMB 7925/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1080/ton to US$ 1100/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1130/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 7425/ton to RMB 7475/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1225/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices plunged to US$ 1125/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8400/ton to RMB 8425/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at RMB 8550/ton, RMB 10650/ton and RMB 8750/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at US$ 1160/ton, US$ 1460/ton and US$ 1175/ton, respectively.
