Asian PTA trends down from low demand on Wed

Sluggish downstream demand in the region and lower upstream product prices led to Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) prices going down in Asia yesterday (Oct 15).
In F E Asia, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 765/ton yesterday, lower by US$ 15/ton as compared to US$ 780/ton on Oct 14.
In S E Asia, PTA prices were spotted at US$ 790/ton on Wednesday, down by US$ 15/ton vis-à-vis prices on Tuesday.
In India, prices showed similar trend and were offered at US$ 800/ton yesterday.
In F E Asia, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 765/ton yesterday, lower by US$ 15/ton as compared to US$ 780/ton on Oct 14.
