PTA & MEG prices decline in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1035/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1065/ton to US$ 1070/ton.
 
PTA prices went up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices inched up and were quoted in the range of US$ 810/ton to US$ 815/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were offered at US$ 790/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market moved down and were quoted in the range of US$ 780/ton to US$ 785/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices dropped and were offered in the range of RMB 5595/ton to RMB 5645/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1275ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of 58.50 cents/pound to 59.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international market and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton, while prices decreased in the domestic market to € 960/ton.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were quoted at US$ 840/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices fell and were assessed in the range of US$ 845/ton to US$ 850/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices dipped and were assessed in the range of RMB 6000/ton to RMB 6050/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept stable in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1170/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1190/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 7500/ton to RMB 7550/ton.
 
PSF prices kept steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept steady at US$ 1215/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept inert at US$ 1115/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8300/ton to RMB 8325/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY kept steady at RMB 8750/ton, RMB 10650/ton and RMB 8800/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at US$ 1195/ton, US$ 1465/ton and US$ 1190/ton, respectively.
