Fabric and garment exports from Vietnam totaled US$ 13.606 billion in the January-August 2014, growing at 19.4 percent year-on-year, according to the data from the Customs IT & Statistics Department, General Department of Customs, Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance.
 
Vietnamese textile and garment industry includes approximately 6,000 businesses, who are expecting a boost in their exports in anticipation of early conclusion of negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), which would allow them to export their products at zero-duty to the US market.
