Downtrend continues in Asian PX, PTA & PSF markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 965/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton.
 
PTA prices inched down in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 760/ton to US$ 765/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 740/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market moved down and were quoted in the range of US$ 750/ton to US$ 755/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 5255/ton to RMB 5305/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1265/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1290/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices went down and were quoted in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 56.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton and € 955/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices dropped and were quoted at US$ 790/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 795/ton to US$ 800/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices inched down in the range of RMB 5800/ton to RMB 5850/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips went up in the range of US$ 1145/ton to US$ 1185/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1155/ton to US$ 1195/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers went up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1205/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1175/ton to US$ 1215/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 7775/ton to RMB 7825/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips went up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1025/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 7125/ton to RMB 7175/ton.
 
PSF prices plunged in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1180/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices plunged to US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices moved down and were quoted in the range of RMB 8075/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY decreased to RMB 8500/ton, while DTY and FDY prices stayed stable at RMB 10450/ton and RMB 8600/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY decreased to US$ 1155/ton, US$ 1430/ton and US$ 1155/ton, respectively.
