PX, PTA & MEG prices decline in Southeast Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1005/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were offered in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices inched down and were quoted in the range of US$ 785/ton to US$ 790/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices dropped and were offered at US$ 765/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 765/ton to US$ 770/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices fell and were offered in the range of RMB 5385/ton to RMB 5435/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices moved up and were quoted in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 51.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1190/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices dipped and were quoted at US$ 850/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices inched up and were assessed in the range of US$ 850/ton to US$ 855/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 6285/ton to RMB 6335/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept stable in the range of US$ 1145/ton to US$ 1185/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1155/ton to US$ 1195/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept stable in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1205/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1175/ton to US$ 1215/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 7950/ton to RMB 8000/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1025/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7250/ton to RMB 7300/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept stable at US$ 1180/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained unchanged at US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8075/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at RMB 8600/ton, RMB 10550/ton and RMB 8600/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at US$ 1170/ton, US$ 1445/ton and US$ 1155/ton, respectively.
