Messe Frankfurt, organizers of Heimtextil said they are enlarging offering of digital printing products and information at the trade show which runs from January 14-17, 2015.

In addition to an extended ‘Digital Print’ product segment in Hall 4.0, it will also host for the second time, the ‘European Digital Textile Conference’ by WTIN during Heimtextil.

Ulrike Wechsung, Director of Heimtextil said, “Digital textile printing has three advantages; first, the technology requires fewer resources and enables faster production cycles and secondly, textile designers can experiment more creatively and flexibly with high-quality forms and models.”

He added, “Thirdly, purchasers of home and household textiles have the possibility to respond more quickly and more individually to today’s consumer requirements.”

“With our ‘Digital Print’ segment in Hall 4.0, we can offer the largest selection so far of technologies for digitally printed home textiles”, he informed.

Messe Frankfurt said ‘Digital Print’ is once again located in the vicinity of the Heimtextil Theme Park, which will make it a central point for innovative products and future-related topics.

This year, the ‘European Digital Textile Conference’ will deal with varied topics like advantages of digital printing over screen printing, new machines and technologies and use of modern print heads and other topics.

John Scrimshaw, Editor-In-Chief of the ‘Digital Textile’ magazine is of the opinion that digitally printed home textiles present a huge opportunity and the technology is moving forward rapidly.

“The event will reflect this progress, while also seeking to give insights into the commercial and creative possibilities of the technique,” he said.

According to Textile Intelligence, the production volume of digitally printed textiles is growing at an annual rate of 25 percent.

Messe Frankfurt said all major players in the business have registered, which include HP, Reggiani Macchine, POD – Equipamenta, Durst Phototechnik, Kornit Digital Europe, Xeikon International, Digital Graphics and J. Zimmer.

As a global event for the latest developments in home and contract textiles, Heimtextil provides the best opportunity to showcase the superb creative design and production flexibility of our latest inkjet printers and inks,” said Richard Barrow, Product Manager, Epson Europe

“With Epson inkjet technology it's easy and affordable to produce bespoke interior decor products in stunning quality on-demand and in small quantities,” he explained. (AR)
