Lotte to shut naphtha cracker for maintenance next year

Lotte Chemical, considered to be a pioneer of petrochemical industry in South Korea, is likely to shut a naphtha cracker for maintenance turnaround next year.
“The Daesan-based naphtha cracker is likely to be shut for maintenance turnaround in October 2015,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
“The cracker is likely to remain shut for around one month,” the official added.
The cracker has an annual capacity to produce 1.1 million tons of ethylene and 500,000 tons of propylene.
Lotte Chemical’s products, including ethylene, are distributed to 152 countries around the world. (RKS)
