India International Textile Machinery Exhibitions (ITME) Society’s show “Global Textile Technology & Engineering Show 2015- Focus Asia”, an exclusive show for highlighting strengths of Asian Textile Engineering Industry in Mumbai, India, to be held from 20th -22nd Jan 2015 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, is expected to attract around 300 textile companies from the world.

According to ITME Society treasurer S Hari Shankar, strong representatives from countries such as China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, the US and India are expected to participate in the event. Seven companies from Coimbatore are also expected to participate.

GTTES 2015 would be a complementary show to the India ITME series, held once every four years, he said.

This event, which is supported by the Heavy Industries Ministry (Government of India) and the Textile Department (Maharashtra Government), will provide a platform to small and medium textile machinery, equipment and component manufacturers to showcase their products.

The objective of GTTES 2015 is not only to showcase technology/machinery but also to address the needs of quality, variety, allied services, provide access to regional markets and clientele, especially for small medium enterprises.

The textile expo will have special focus on weaving machinery, garment machinery, knitting & embroidery machinery, non woven and technical textiles, digital printing and technical information services. It would be a focused event to magnify business and trade for textile machinery manufacturers through interaction with agents/dealers of India and overseas and have an exclusive exhibition section for spare parts, components and accessories of textile machinery across segments.

Vice-chairman of ITME, Senthil Kumar said notwithstanding the live demo during the expo, ITME has given exhibitors an opportunity to promote their brands and services online for three months in the run-up to the event.

Overseas delegations from Ethiopia, Sudan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Korea, Mozambique, Egypt, China, Taiwan and Sri Lanka are expected to visit GTTES 2015, he said. (GK)
