PTA, MEG & PSF prices dip in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. PX prices plunged in SE Asia, where they ranged between US$ 835 and 840 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices declined to US$ 815 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased to a range of US$ 860 to 865 per ton.
 
PTA prices plunged in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed a decrease in PTA prices, which ranged between US$ 655 and 660 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices went down to US$ 640 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market dropped to a range of US$ 660 to 665 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased to a range of RMB 4760 to 4810 per ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices decreased and they ranged between US$ 1035 and 1040 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 950 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices decreased and were assessed between 38.00 and 38.50 cents per pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international market at US$ 1050 per ton, while prices declined in the domestic market to € 825 per ton.
 
MEG prices decreased in Asia. In SE Asia, MEG prices dropped to US$ 760 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and they ranged between US$ 765 and 770 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased to a range of RMB 5745 to 5795 per ton.
 
In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips remained unaffected ranging between US$ 1085 to 1125 per ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1095 to 1135 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1105 to 1145 per ton, while talked prices hovered in the range of US$ 1115 to 1155 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices declined and they ranged between RMB 7125 and 7175 per ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained unaffected in the range between US$ 985 and 1015 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 995 to 1025 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices declined ranging between RMB 6425 and 6475 per ton.
 
PSF prices plunged in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1105 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices went down to US$ 1005 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased and they were quoted between RMB 7700 and 7725 per ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY were stable at RMB 7850 per ton, while DTY and FDY prices declined to RMB 10000 per ton and RMB 7750 per ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY prices were stable at US$ 1040 per ton, while DTY and FDY prices declined to US$ 1345 per ton and US$ 1010 per ton, respectively.
