Polyester POY prices rise in Chinese market

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. PX prices decreased in SE Asia, where they ranged between US$ 835 and 840 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices went down to US$ 815 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined to a range of US$ 845 to 850 per ton.

PTA prices decreased in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed a decrease in PTA prices ranging between US$ 640 to 645 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices decreased to US$ 625 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased to a range of US$ 625 to 630 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased to a range of RMB 4470 to 4520 per ton.

Ethylene prices remained unaffected in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable ranging between US$ 995 and 1000 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 900 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and they were assessed between 42.00 and 42.50 cents per pound. Ethylene prices declined in European international as well as in domestic markets to US$ 960 per ton and € 790 per ton, respectively.

MEG prices decreased in Asia. In SE Asia, MEG prices went down to US$ 775 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and they ranged between US$ 770 and 775 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased to a range of RMB 5780 to 5830 per ton.

In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips remained unaffected ranging between US$ 1010 and 1050 per ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1020 to 1060 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1030 to 1070 per ton, while talked prices hovered in the range of US$ 1040 to 1080 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices declined ranging between RMB 6800 and 6850 per ton.

In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained unaffected in the range between US$ 915 and 945 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 925 to 955 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices declined ranging between RMB 6400 and 6450 per ton.

PSF prices declined in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices decreased to US$ 1065 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices went down to US$ 965 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined ranging between RMB 7425 and 7450 per ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY increased to RMB 7900 per ton, while DTY and FDY prices were stable at RMB 9800 per ton and RMB 7700 per ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY increased to US$ 1045 per ton and US$ 1310 per ton, respectively, while FDY prices were stable at US$ 1000 per ton.
