European ethylene prices drop but stay stable in US last week

European ethylene prices dropped in the last week ending Jan 2 from poor downstream product demand and stayed stable in the US, despite of bearish buying trend.
In Europe, average ethylene prices declined by US$ 35/ton or 3.75 per cent and were quoted at US$ 945/ton last week, as compared to its previous week ending Dec 26.
In the US market, average prices stood stable at 40 cents/pound last week from its previous week.
