Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices show downtrend in China

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. PX prices went down in SE Asia, where they ranged between US$ 805 and 810 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices decreased to US$ 785 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased to a range of US$ 825 to 830 per ton.

PTA prices declined in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed a decrease in PTA prices and they ranged between US$ 620 and 625 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices plunged to US$ 605 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market plunged to a range of US$ 605 to 610 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased to a range of RMB 4435 to 4485 per ton.

Ethylene prices remained unaffected in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable ranging between US$ 985 and 990 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 900 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined ranging between 41.50 and 42.00 cents per pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international market to US$ 925 per ton, while prices were stable in the domestic market at € 775 per ton.

MEG prices declined in Asia. In SE Asia, MEG prices plunged to US$ 740 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and they ranged between US$ 740 and 745 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased to a range of RMB 5430 to 5480 per ton.

In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips remained unaffected ranging between US$ 1010 and 1050 per ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1020 to 1060 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1030 to 1070 per ton, while talked prices hovered in the range of US$ 1040 to 1080 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices declined ranging between RMB 6350 and 6400 per ton.

In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained unaffected in the range between US$ 915 and 945 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 925 to 955 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined ranging between RMB 6125 and 6175 per ton.

PSF prices plunged in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1010 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices decreased to US$ 910 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased ranging between RMB 7075 and 7100 per ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY declined to RMB 7450 per ton, RMB 9500 per ton and RMB 7300 per ton, respectively. In the export market, offer prices for POY, DTY and FDY declined to US$ 980 per ton, US$ 1265 per ton and US$ 940 per ton, respectively.
