Italian weaving technology specialist, Itema S.p.A is exhibiting at Southern India Mills Association (SIMA) organised, textile trade fair, Texfair which is currently underway in Coimbatore.

Itema is the only manufacturer in the world to provide the top three shuttleless weft insertion technologies: rapier, airjet and projectile.

In the last two years, Itema has experienced a period of unprecedented growth, which has continued in recent months despite the slowdown in the global textile market.

Itema India has developed a comprehensive sales and after-sales service network operating from own offices in Mumbai, Coimbatore, New Dehli and Kohlapur.

The Indian subsidiary has played a fundamental role contributing to the overall positive result for the Italian company and has registered a record growth in 2014 sales.

Itema India managing director Updeep Singh says, “This region of the country represents for us an incredible opportunity of growth. We can provide to the weavers of the territory exactly the loom they are looking for.

He added, “Itema has the most technological advanced rapier machine, our R9500, an absolute best-seller and worldwide recognized in the sector as a cutting edge loom.

“Our rapier portfolio also counts Silver DT, our renowned rapier terry machine which allows to weave high quality terry fabrics with the versatility that only a rapier weaving machine can ensure.”

“With the new and extended airjet portfolio, we now offer our customers exactly what they require, no more no less,” said Ferdinando De Micheli, sales area manager India and Key Accounts.

He continued, “Itema’s airjet A9500 portfolio has three distinct models: the A9500 original, A9500p and A9500e, which offer an undisputable benchmark for the industry.

“Together they offer dependable, right-for-application; high-speed performance, consistent fabric quality and versatility, enabling customers to optimise productivity and embrace rapidly changing market expectations.”

Itema says its airjet A9500 portfolio is well received in some of its most important markets and repeat orders and winning results during customer trials, show that Itema airjet A9500 is a winning choice to ensure success.

Fulvio Carlo Toma, Itema Group’s sales & marketing director noted, “We strongly believe that we can equip Indian customers with the right technology and bespoke solutions.”

“Whilst at the same time providing great value for money – an overall win-win package which will undoubtedly further bolster Indian weavers’ renowned creativity and success,” he observed. (AR)
