European & US PX prices fall steeply last week

Sluggish buying trend coupled with poor downstream product demand in the region led to PX prices in Europe & US falling steeply in the last week ending Jan 9.
In Europe, average prices drove down by US$ 50/ton or 6.41 per cent and were assessed at US$ 730/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.
In US too, average prices slipped by US$ 45/ton and were quoted at US$ 740/ton last week, a decline of 5.73 per cent from its previous week.
