Dissolving Pulp prices decline in Chinese market last week

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Cotton Linter were assessed at RMB 2700/ton in the last week ending January 16, 2015, which were unchanged as compared to the previous week ending January 9. In the last updates from market, offer prices were in the range of RMB 2800/ton to RMB 3000/ton. Trading prices were around RMB 2700/ton to RMB 2800/ton.

Prices of Dissolving Pulp were witnessed at RMB 5935/ton in the last week, which were down from the previous week. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were offered in the range of US$ 800/ton to US$ 805/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from the US and Europe were in the range of US$ 830/ton to US$ 840/ton and US$ 810ton to 830/ton respectively, while those from Canada were in the range of US$ 750/ton to US$ 780/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from Sweden were between US$ 800/ton and US$ 810/ton.

VSF prices were quoted at RMB 11420/ton in the last week, which were lower as compared to the previous week. During the week, VSF market opened at RMB 11450/ton and closed at RMB 11400/ton level. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VSF hovered in the range of US$ 1.56/kg to US$ 1.58/kg. Market analysts expect VSF prices to remain steady in the ongoing week.

In the last week, VFY market was steady and prices were quoted at RMB 35040/ton. VFY market sentiment was stable and there was firm energy market during that period. Producers kept offers stable in the range of RMB 35000/ton to RMB 35040/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY remained steady and were in the range of US$ 5400/ton to US$ 5500/ton.
