Polyester value chain prices largely up in Asia

PTA prices increased in Asia. In the SE Asian market witnessed an increase in PTA prices ranging between US$ 590 to 595 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices went up to US$ 575 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market were stable at a range of US$ 565 to 570 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased to a range of RMB 4455 to 4505 per ton.

Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices declined ranging between US$ 915 to 920 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 880 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged ranging between 35.00 to 35.50 cents per pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international market as well as in the domestic market to US$ 755 per ton and € 685 per ton, respectively.

MEG prices increased in Asia. In the SE Asia, MEG prices went up to US$ 735 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices were stable ranging between US$ 715 to 720 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased to a range of RMB 5765 to 5815 per ton.

In the SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips declined ranging between US$ 865 to 905 per ton. Some deals were in the range of US$ 875 to 915 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers decreased in the range of US$ 885 to 925 per ton, while talked prices were in the range of US$ 895 to 935 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased ranging between RMB 6275 to 6325 per ton.

In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips declined in the range between US$ 780 to 810 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 790 to 820 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased ranging between RMB 6150 to 6200 per ton.

PSF prices increased in Asia.  In the FE Asian market, PSF prices went up to US$ 990 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices went up to US$ 890 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased ranging between RMB 6950 to 6975 per ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY increased to RMB 7350 per ton and RMB 7250 per ton, respectively, while DTY prices were stable at RMB 8900 per ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY increased to US$ 965 per ton and US$ 930 per ton, respectively, while DTY prices were stable at US$ 1170 per ton.
