Proposte 2015, the twenty-third edition of the global furnishing fabrics and curtains expo, being organised by Proposte, will be held from April 27 to 29, 2015, at Villa Erba, Cernobbio in Italy.

Leading home textile manufacturers are expected to exhibit their collections at the show focussed entirely on fostering business and international contacts. The exhibitors will be exclusively direct producers of furnishing and curtain fabrics who are selected on the basis of three characteristics namely, the qualification of their companies and products, their professional fairness, and their commitment to research and experimentation in the field of aesthetics and technologies.

The visitors to the fair will include textile editors, manufacturers of upholstered furniture, wholesalers, converters, buying groups, and contract operators. The selection and qualification criteria of the visitors admits only high-profile production companies, recognised for the high level of their collections, their fair trade and compliance with international rules of ethics and sustainability.

In the previous edition of Proposte 2014, an in-house style team was present at the exhibition, which photographed, examined, and described the products, in terms of structure, design, and colour. Proposte 2014 was visited by 6593 textile operators, out of which 2364 were from Italy and 4229 from abroad. Compared to 2013, the number of visitors increased by 7.19 per cent in 2014.

The trends of Proposte 2014 included style moods like youthful, minimal, and timeless fabrics. Fibres and blends like earthlike natural ones and modern manmade were also a part of the show. (GK)
