Asian PX rises last week due to upstream price hike

Hike in upstream energy prices coupled with rise in feedstock prices and downstream product prices led to paraxylene (PX) prices going up in Asia last week ending Feb 14.

Average prices in Korea were assessed at US$ 815/ton last week, higher by 1.56 per cent as compared to US$ 800/ton in its previous week ending Feb 7.

Average prices in SE Asia were spotted at US$ 835/ton last week, up by 1.22 per cent as against US$ 825/ton in its previous week.
