Oeko-Tex names Hebei Ruichun as company of the month

German research organisation, Oek-Tex has named Chinese towel manufacturer, Hebei Ruichun Textile Co., Ltd. as the Oeko-Tex company of the month for February 2015.

Founded in 1993, Hebei Ruichun has 330 employees and manufactures a wide variety of towel products for the domestic and export market and has a production capacity of around 2,800 tons per year.

The company has a built-up area of 27,000 sq metres and is equipped with the latest machinery, which includes over 100 projectile looms and 28 Jacquard Greifer looms.

Hebei Ruichun produces towels for bathrooms and kitchens, together with a wide range of bath, hand, beach and washing towels.

The motto of the company is ‘The best possible product quality’ so, almost all articles manufactured are checked for harmful substances as per the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and are thus not harmful to health.

“Its brand, Ruichun thus guarantees high quality and is exported to countries like Japan, India, South America and also Europe,” a statement from Oeko-Tex says.

CEO Zhang Ruichun says "The Oeko-Tex certificate offers our customers an additional guarantee of quality and this recognition of the safety of the products now plays an important role.”

Comprehensive quality management is also certified in accordance with the criteria of DIN EN ISO 9001 and includes quality monitoring at all production levels.

Hebei also implements environmentally friendly production technologies, fair working conditions, and appropriate safety in the workplace.

This also has been documented since 2014 with the successful SteP by Oeko-Tex certification, an independent award for sustainable production operations in the textile chain.

“It is our goal to further optimise our home textile company and its products, as we want to demonstrate our good performance and build trust,” the CEO added. (AR)
