Sika to show textile adhesive solutions at Techtextil 2015

Sika, a producer of textile adhesive solutions for the global textile lamination industry is participating at Techtextil Frankfurt, Germany, which runs from May 4-7, 2015.

Sika’s wide range of soft lamination adhesives finds applications in sportswear, protective wear and industrial applications from flooring to roofing.

Among the various adhesives on display, it is launching the SikaMelt-9607 at Techtextil, which is a new and versatile polyurethane based reactive hot melt adhesive with for breathable membranes bonding.

“With an excellent initial strength profile to suit manufacturing needs and cross-linking to form a durable elastomer in laminated textilea, it provides the best of both worlds,” Sika said in a press release.

Sika informed that SikaMelt-9607 is manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001-14001 quality assurance systems and the responsible care program.

“Excellent adhesives are one key to our customers success, but with solutions we also offer technical services to keep our customers at the forefront of their markets,” said Francois Bauduin, market field manager at Sika.

Sika is a specialty chemicals company in development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protecting in the building sector and motor vehicle industry.

Sika has subsidiaries in 90 countries around the world and manufactures from over 160 factories. It has approximately 17,000 employees and generated annual sales of CHF 5.6 billion in 2014. (AR)
