Savio to exhibit Polar winding machine at ShanghaiTex

At the ShanghaiTex exhibition, Italian yarn finishing technology producer Savio will exhibit a Polar 12 winding unit machine especially useful for the dyeing process and finer counts.

According to a Savio press release, six units will be equipped with manual bobbing feeding or the L version and the rest will be equipped with manual package feeding or R version.

“This will allow a customer to see the different configurations he could obtain in choosing the Polar model,” the press release added.

The Savio Polar round magazine model has been recently developed for a maximum of 80 positions and has all the innovative solutions demanded for high quality of both, yarn and package output.

“This automatic winder fulfils all the expectations of the markets due to its various innovations in terms of technology, quality output, simplified maintenance and energy saving,” Savio informed.

“In terms of flexibility and productivity, the manual feeding winder is a perfect solution for spinning mills using ring spinning frames with different bobbin sizes, for different counts and fibres,” it observed.

The Polar winder can process different yarns and counts, allowing very flexible production planning, since there is no rigid assignment of yarn allotments from ring spinning frames.

“Furthermore, Polar round magazine model is so flexible that it can be customised according to feeding requirements and to special spun yarns,” Savio noted.

For example, the MR/LR version with package feeding allows the rewinding of packages of any taper, while the MF/LF version is for processing wet spun flax yarns.

Additionally there is also a special version with feeding from large bobbins and also with feeding from waste cones.

The M/L version is meant for round magazine bobbin feeding and is a manual feeding automatic winder, with the technology helping improve production, reduce energy consumption and simplify maintenance.

This manual feeding winder is available with manual package doffing or automatic package doffing and has features like yarn path with reduced points of contact on the yarn.

Additional features include; take-up packages with different taper ratios with electronic on/off anti-patterning system and different solutions for air splicing, water splicing, heat splicing, and mechanical splicing.

It has also various types of bobbin feeding mechanisms from 180 mm to 350 mm and is available in 6 or 9 pockets round magazine.

The R version package feeding equipment allows for rewinding of packages of any taper, producing packages ideal for any subsequent use.

The main fields of use of Polar MR/LR are rewinding packages coming from the dyeing process of any size and shape and also those coming from open end spinning frames and packages remnants.

The machine equipped with automatic feeding package change is available with LR or without MR automatic doffing trolley and a simplified version is also available with a single fixed peg. (AR)
