Techtextil North America exceeds expectation of organiser

According to organisers of Techtextil North America 2015, the show has exceeded pre-show expectations, by bringing over 150 exhibitors from 16 countries, who will be showing around 100 product categories.

“Visitors can expect to see leading technical textile and nonwoven companies showing latest products in textiles, nonwovens and composite materials,” Messe Frankfurt, the organiser said in a press release.

“Houston, Texas provides an ideal location for oil and gas, aerospace and composite companies to conduct business at Techtextil North America,” it added.

A few selected exhibitors exhibiting at the show include American Cord & Webbing, Fujifilm, Texel, Trelleborg and NASA Johnson Space Center.

Techtextil North America will also have four special feature areas, namely; the German Pavilion, World-Class Symposium, Graduate Student Poster Program and the Job Center.

“The German Pavilion is a must-see feature area on the show floor as over 15 German companies will be represented,” Messe Frankfurt informed.

A few of the companies exhibiting at the pavilion are DST Technical Coatings GmbH, Eckart GmbH, Ibena Technische Textilien GmbH, Maschinenfabrik Herbert Meyer GmbH and Rex Industrie-Produkte.

Besides, Techtextil North America is hosting a 10 session Symposium presented by industry experts from the technical textile and nonwovens industry.

Topics to be discussed are, New Fibre Technologies, Medical, Protective, Smart Textiles, Aerospace, Tensile Structures, Nonwoven Advancements, Raw Materials and Sustainability.

The second annual Graduate Student Poster Program will feature current graduate students who will present their research to industry professionals on the show floor.

The top 5 posters chosen by industry judges will be presented during the symposium on June 4, while visitors to the Job Center will be able to explore job opportunities available from exhibitors.

Techtextil North America which will run from June 2-4, 2015 in Houston will be co-located with JEC Americas, following the successful premiere in Atlanta last year.

“The co-hosting has resulted in creating an unparalleled event thereby creating the largest technical textiles, nonwovens, geosynthetics and composites trade show in the US this year,” the organiser noted. (AR)
