Shima Seiki to host private exhibition in Seoul

The Korean subsidiary of Japanese computerised flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki will hold a private exhibition at its office in Seoul from May 20 to 22, 2015.

Visitors will able to examine its latest lineup of computerised flat knitting machines, like the new version of its flagship MACH2X series Wholegarment knitting machine with SlideNeedles mounted on four needlebeds.

It will also display the compact SWG-N2 series Wholegarment knitting machine with capability for industrial textiles.

Also on show will be the SRY183LP with loop pressers that produce unique knitwear with woven textures, as well as the SSR workhorse shaping machine.

“Demonstrations will also be performed on the SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system that is at the core of the company’s ‘Total Fashion System’ concept,” a press release from Shima Seiki informed.

The APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from yarn development, product planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion.

According to Shima Seiki, especially effective is APEX3’s capability to improve on the planning process with virtual sampling.

“Photo-realistic simulation capability minimises the need for sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost from the sampling process,” it added.

“APEX3 supports design and simulation in a variety of industries ranging from flat knitting to circular knitting, weaving, pile weaving, printing and more,” the knitting machines producer observed. (AR)
