Garment and textile university to come up in Hanoi

Vietnamese prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved setting up of Ha Noi Industrial Garment and Textile University, according to Vietnamese media reports.
Originally, the plan was to establish a college for textile, garment and fashion in Hanoi.
The university will operate on a self-run model under the management of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The university will have a management board, whose head will serve as the rector.
Dung has asked the Ministry to oversee preparations and begin admissions for students. (RKS)
