SAS Textiles, a knitter of contemporary and performance textiles will be exhibiting at the nineteenth edition of Texworld USA to be held at New York’s Javits Convention Center from July 21-23, 2015.

SAS will be exhibiting in the Lenzing Pavilion, where it will exhibit a wide range of knitted fabrics in various blends of Lenzing viscose, MicroModal, Tencel, ProModal, Supima cotton and other fibres.

In a press release, SAS Textiles said it also uses eco-friendly blends of recycled polyester, Tencel and organic cotton.

“Produced from an extensive range of machinery, we offer our customers a wide range of constructions using Lenzing’s luxurious fibres,” CEO Sean Sassounian said.

The show will also see the debut of the company’s SAS Sport line, featuring high-performance synthetic and stretch fabrics for the active, outdoor, and lifestyle markets.

The new offerings include CAFTA qualified technical fabrics with inherent moisture management, cooling, and UV-protection functions; as well as on-trend patterns and textures.

SAS has recently entered in to a strategic partnership with a printer for sublimation printing on its polyester fabrics.

“The active and yoga brands are moving beyond basic fabrics and into more visual textures and prints,” Sassounian added.

Founded in 1992, SAS Textiles is a privately-held producer of textiles and finished apparel for the fashion and performance apparel trades.

With approximately 80 employees, the company recently moved to a new 165,000 sq. feet facility, and currently has 133 circular knitting machines, with a capacity of half a million pounds per week.

In addition, SAS is a partner in a cut-and-sew facility in Tijuana, Mexico, which is capable of shipping some 50,000 sportswear pieces per week, made from SAS fabrics. (AR)
