Perry Ellis inks Mexican license deal for Original Penguin

US retailer, Perry Ellis International, Inc has entered into a license agreement with Manufacturas Kaltex, S.A. de C.V. for Original Penguin brand home textile products in the Mexican market.
These products include sheets, pillow cases, comforter duvets, bed skirts, decorative pillows, throws, shams, blankets, quilts, towels, shower curtains, etc and will be marketed under the Original Penguin brand.
“The Original Penguin brand is a youth culture icon that represents a mix of American sportswear and contemporary fashion appealing to a style-savvy consumer,” a Perry Ellis press release said.
"Kaltex Home is a leading manufacturer of textiles and home goods making it an ideal collaborative partner to represent Original Penguin bedding and bath lines in Mexico,” Perry Ellis CEO Oscar Feldenkreis said.
“We are enthusiastic about working with Kaltex to leverage the strong brand equity of Original Penguin in Mexico and execute our strategic initiative to expand our global reach," he stated.
Moises Kalach, CEO of Manufacturas Kaltex said, "Partnering with Original Penguin for Kaltex Home is an excellent growth opportunity.”
“We are in love with the brand and look forward to selling fun and innovative Original Penguin home goods for your bed and baths in Mexico," Kalach too added.
Targeted retailers will include major department and upscale stores both online and brick and mortar in Mexico and these products are planned to be launched in Spring 2016.
Perry Ellis International, Inc. is a designer, distributor and licensor of a broad line of high quality men's and women's apparel, accessories and fragrances.
Its range of dress and casual shirts, golf sportswear, sweaters, dress pants, casual pants and shorts, jeans wear, active wear, dresses and men's and women's swimwear is available through all retail levels.
