European ethylene dips last week, stays stable in US

Ethylene prices declined in Europe in the last week ended August 24 due to weak upstream energy prices in the region.
However, due to dull buying sentiments, average prices were stable in the US in the same week.
In Europe, average prices went down by US$ 40/ton or 3.54 per cent and were quoted at US$ 1090/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.
In US, average prices were stable remained unchanged and were quoted at 25 cents/pound in the last week as against its previous week.
However, due to dull buying sentiments, average prices were stable in the US in the same week.
