Nanotech Northern Europe (NTNE), the region's largest nanotechnology event, is organised in Helsinki, Finland on 27-29 March 2007. The key themes of NTNE2007 are application driven, focusing on nanoelectronics and photonics solutions; nanomaterials and nanoparticles for e.g. diagnostics and biomaterials; and safety of nanotechnology products. In addition, leading instrument and tool manufacturers will showcase the latest developments in measurement equipment and software solutions.
Organised by the Finnish nanotechnology consultancy and seed capital firm Spinverse Consulting, Nanotech Northern Europe provides a common forum for researchers, companies, investors, funding agencies and service providers such as intellectual property rights (IPR) and commercialisation experts. As in 2006, partnering is the driving force of the 2007 event as well. Reaching commercial breakthroughs requires co-operation and strong partnerships extending across scientific disciplines and industry borders.
NTNE2007 is held in parallel with ChemBio Finland 07, combining the Northern Europe's largest nanotechnology event with the region's most significant event in the field of biotechnology and chemistry. This provides exciting new synergies between these truly interdisciplinary fields. In 2005, ChemBio Finland attracted over 8,800 visitors.
NTNE 2007 continues to build on the success of previous NTNE events. In 2006, attendance increased to over 650 experts from 25 countries. The number of exhibiting companies and organisations more than doubled from the previous year to over 100 companies.
