The 6th ASEM cooperation forum between countries in Asia and Europe is being organised at the Helsinki Fair Centre on Sept 10-11 2006. It is the largest ever meeting in Finland for heads of state and will draw demanding, top-level guests to Helsinki during the Finnish EU Presidency. – Organising a meeting such as ASEM6 demands a lot from the venue. Safety, volume and reliable services are trump cards for us. In addition to ASEM6, the Helsinki Fair Centre will also be staging Ecofin, the informal ministerial meeting for economic and financial affairs on September 8-9 2006.
We are proud to be given the opportunity to display Finnish meeting organisers' high standards and professionalism. There has been a significant investment in the meeting facilities and technology of the Fair Centre over the last couple of years, says Congress Director Veronica Lindfors.
The 25 Member States of the EU, the EU Commission, the 10 members of the Association of South East Asian Nations (Asean) as well as China, Japan and South Korea participate in Asem.
