Conference on 'Asia, Gateway to the Future - Textiles and Apparel Industry'

The Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles and the Japan Society of Home Economics, Clothing and Textile Division are pleased to announce that the Joint International Conference will be held at Hanyang University in Seoul, Korea from August 18 to 21, 2005.
The conference theme, "Asia, Gateway to the Future - Textiles and Apparel Industry", reflects the emerging importance of Asia in clothing and textile industries as globalization is dynamically progressing at unprecedented speed. Scholars and professionals all over the world are invited to exchange ideas and explore new alternatives for textile and clothing field.
The main conference will include a number of exciting and informative programs including opening ceremony with keynote address, research sessions, special topic sessions, and magnificent fashion show/exhibition as well as cultural experience workshops. Additional pre and/or post conference tours are being planned. The conference will be a great opportunity to keep up with the most updated trends in clothing and textile field and experience rich cultural diversities.
