Karl Mayer makes learning fun

Klaus Kunde has been instrumental in selecting the new staff and modernising the equipment that is used in the training courses, and has also helped in updating the training materials. Above all, he has been involved in planning the layout of the enlarged but compact training premises, which provide plenty of space for optimising the learning process.
The aim is to extend the existing seminar rooms and link them to the training machines by the shortest possible route. This should enable to students to get to grips with warp knitting technology as quickly as possible! The classrooms are air-conditioned and are large and easily accessible but, above all, they create an atmosphere which makes learning fun.
In addition to the workers employed by KARL MAYER's clients, in future, this facility will bring together lecturers, students, trainees, apprentices and the company's own employees, e.g. from the customer service department, so that they can get to grips with every aspect of warp knitting.
This will be done in small groups, with CI-compatibility and with the emphasis on what actually happens in practice. In addition to the standard courses, more flexible, short courses will also be available. These will meet the needs of users worldwide more effectively and provide an efficient way of transferring knowledge.
In order to meet these requirements, it is also a matter of the 'training the trainers'. The instruction and training programmes are based on the requirements of the KARL MAYER Group's sales and service sections, and on the feedback from conversations with people who have attended the seminars. The course instructors are also continuously being sent information about the latest innovations being developed in KARL MAYER's Customer Support and Development Centre.
The KARL MAYER Academy thus provides a unique training service, which will strengthen and consolidate the company's position on the market and improve the qualifications of the students taking part in the courses.
