Nilit joins new Seamless Village at OR Winter Market

Nilit Ltd, a major producer of nylon 6.6 and microfiber yarns, has announced that it will be part of Santoni's Seamless Village collaborative industry display at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City, January 23-26. Nilit will be featured in booth MR 151.

This is the first time that fiber, yarn, and apparel manufacturers have joined forces to create a collective display for the seamless market at OR. The effort was championed by Santoni, seamless machinery innovator and a sponsor of the 2008 OR Winter Market.

“The Seamless Village offers OR participants a convenient place to meet the experts in this exciting apparel field,” says Molly Kremidas, Nilit's U.S. Marketing Director. “Seamless apparel is an important segment for Nilit. We were pioneers in the development of microfiber yarns for the seamless category and, as a result, our products are used by the leading makers of seamless legwear, intimates, bodywear, and activewear.”

Nilit Aquarius and Nilit BodyFresh fibers provide additional performance benefits of moisture management and anti-bacterial properties to seamless garments.

Seamless apparel has expanded steadily over the past decade. Introduced first in hosiery, the technology has been successfully extended to other categories where seamless construction provides a consumer comfort or appearance benefit, such as intimate apparel, fitness wear, swim, and other active segments. Nilit yarns are particularly well suited to seamless apparel manufacturing and result in soft, lightweight, durable garments.
