Apoena, a fashion brand from Brasília, debuted on the catwalks of Fashion Rio. Under the direction of the stylist Kátia Ferreira, the brand showed its dna with the rich crafty work presented, which used embroiderers, seamstress and craftsmen from poor communities, which are set as cooperatives.
With the theme "Handkerchiefs of Lovers", the brand was inspired on the Portuguese folklore when the damsels embroidered and presented their beloved who went to the war. Thus, embroidery patchwork that makes reference to cross point, full, back, hearts, besides stripes and plaids arise.
The shapes are clean, with puffed sleeves, girded straight dresses, almost college-type skirts but more of a swing skirt type, the height a little above the knees.
The shades vary from the black, grey to the pink and lilac. The highlight goes to the effect of the embroidery and knitting (flowers, hearts) applied to the pieces.
