Jan '08
Thanh Cong Textile Garment Joint Stock Company (TCM), on January 10, started constructing its new viscose fibre plant at Trang Bang industrial zone, located in Tay Ninh Province in the southwestern Vietnam.

The plant with 60,000 spindles, is expected to cost VND 300 billion or US $18.7 million. This is the forth fibre plant of TCM, being constructed in a bid to diversify and develop fibre materials for its textile and apparel production.

Other three plants of the company produce fibres for various types of yarns including cotton OE and dyeing ones.

This project will become operational in September 2008 and is anticipated to produce 7,500 tons fibre yearly, contributing to an annual fibre productivity of the company up to 20,000 tons. With this venture, TCM expects to obtain an annual growth of 15-20 percent for this particular sector.
