Qianqing sees dull yarn market in sleet weather

Recently, the overall market prices of raw materials in Qianqing market have been dull just like the sleet weather in the past few days. From the market dynamics, on January 20 the market central prices of cotton yarn 30s for knitting, polyester yarn 50s, rayon yarn 30s, 45s, T65/C35 yuan 40s/2, T65/R35 twist thread were quoted at 19,500 yuan per ton, 16,600 yuan per ton, 24,200 yuan per ton, 18,400 yuan per ton, and 21,500 yuan per tons, respectively.

These conventional yarn products were priced at 19,500 yuan, 16,600 yuan, 24,500 yuan, 18,500 yuan, and 21,700 yuan in the previous week.

Prices saw no changes in pure cotton yarn, polyester yarn, but decreased by 100 yuan with T / C yarn, 200 yuan with T / R yarn, and 300 yuan with rayon yarn.

Recently, market prices of carded yarn (low cotton grade) are relatively stable with usual sales. On January 20, central market quotations of 40s, 60s (weft) were at 19,800 yuan per ton and 22,800 yuan per ton, flat with the prices of the previous week.

Market players point out that cotton yarn had small fluctuations in 2007. Now, with Chinese Spring Festival (Feb 7) approaching, it is most unlikely that the price of pure cotton yarn records any major change. Cotton yarn market is expected to mainly move downward in small correction.
