Cotton fabrics maker Century Textiles posts Q3 results

Century Textiles & Industries Ltd has announced the following Unaudited Results for the quarter ended December 31, 2007:
The Company has posted a net profit after taxes of Rs 728.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 339.30 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.
Total Income is Rs 8568.70 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 8133.30 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.
During the quarter ended December 31, 2007, the revenue in respect of the Ordinary Activities of discontinued Textile Mill at Worli, Mumbai, amounted to Rs 0.50 million and Rs 48.40 million respectively, and the loss in respect of the same amounted to Rs 68.20 million and Rs 202.30 million respectively.
As a result of cessation of manufacturing operations at the Textile Mill at Worli, Mumbai, the results for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 are not comparable with those of previous corresponding periods.
