This is another sleek, handy, affordable and easily understandable technical series, containing 13 publications, from the house of NITRA, to help the practicing and aspiring professionals dealing with apparel processing activities.
GaPS is an effort to bridge the gap between the quality required by buyers and the quality produced by garment manufacturers.
There are 13 booklets dealing with all input materials required for garment processing starting from water, surfactants, acids, alkalis, oxidizing and reducing agents to different types of dyes and finishes.
All these booklets have been prepared by collecting information from various sources so that they can be used as ready reference to people working at the shopfloor level as well as students aspiring to become proficient in garment processing.
The booklets describe the quality requirements, procedures to evaluate the quality, Do's and Don'ts, storage and handling procedures.
Information relating to the effect of input material quality on the finished product quality has also been discussed in these booklets.
Besides, the series also describes operational and maintenance procedures and energy conservation techniques of utilities employed in garment factories.
