23rd Antron Carpet Fiber Design Awards finalists announced

INVISTA Performance Surfaces & Materials announced the finalists for the 23rd Antron carpet fiber Design Award, including the 8th Antron carpet fiber Product Innovation Award and the 4th Antron carpet fiber Sustainable Flooring Performance Award competitions. The award distinctions will be announced at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco the evening of Thursday, April 24, 2008.

The 23rd Antron carpet fiber Design Award showcases designers who set new standards of creativity in commercial interior design through the innovative use of carpet. The entries for this category are judged on creativity and originality of the carpet application; overall design creativity and originality; and how well the design met the client's business objectives and challenges.

The finalists for the 23rd Antron carpet fiber Design Award include Cohos Evamy integratedesign (Edmonton, Alberta) for PCL Centennial Learning Centre, Corgan Associates (Dallas) for Rent-A-Center Headquarters, Durrant (Minneapolis) for Cue Restaurant & Bar in the Guthrie Theater, EwingCole (Philadelphia) for Liberty Science Center, Gensler (San Francisco) for Allsteel San Francisco Resource Center and Chemoil, Gensler (Seattle) for Office of the Attorney General of Washington State, HOK (Culver City, Calif.) for AOL, Looney Ricks Kiss Architects Inc (Memphis, Tenn.) for OrthoMemphis PC and Perkins Eastman (New York) for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

The 8th Antron carpet fiber Product Innovation Award honors carpet mills whose products excelled in style, aesthetics, color and usage in the marketplace. The entries for this category are judged on creativity, design and originality, as well as the techniques used for the carpet's design.
