As the impact of energy costs and availability becomes an even more important factor in all aspects of manufacturing, INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, is organizing the inaugural New Energy Technologies 2008 (NET08) conference from October 28-30, 2008, at the Marriott City Center, Raleigh, NC.
This new conference is an outgrowth of the Top Management Survey conducted by INDA last year that clearly showed energy as a top issue among executives in the nonwovens and textile industries. Among the leading concerns are cost of energy on manufacturing, continuing availability of affordable energy and the impact of energy use on the environment.
“Without a doubt, the cost and impact of energy consumption is top-of-mind among executives in all industries,” says INDA President Rory Holmes. “This Conference will explore those topics and help participating companies develop their energy strategy for the 21st Century.”
NET08 will be divided into four focuses: Energy solutions that can be implemented within 90 days; energy solutions that can be implemented in two to four years; and long-term energy solutions that can be implemented within the next decade. Finally, the Conference will explore Blue Sky remedies to the energy challenges that are on the horizon.
