Cavalier buys stake in Norman Ellison

Cavalier Corporation advises that with all operational conditions pertaining to the purchase of a 70% interest in Norman Ellison Carpets having been fulfilled, the parties will now proceed to complete the transaction in the next day or so.

The effective date for this purchase is 1 February 2008.

This announcement should be read in conjunction with Cavalier Corporation's earlier announcements to the NZX on the Norman Ellison Carpets acquisition, the first on 26 September 2007 and another on 15 November 2007.

Cavalier's carpet operation, founded on the principles of quality, outstanding customer service, and absolute integrity, keeps all stages of its carpet manufacturing in-house to deliver the products that have consistently met customers needs and expectations. It is also involved in the procurement and processing of wool for both the independant wool trade and it's carpet operation.
