An industrial trade fair cum tourism festival 2008, is being organized by the Palpa Chambers of Commerce and Industries and will commence from February 15 to 22 at Tansen City.
Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), District Development Committee Palpa, Tansen Municapility and Small and Cottage industries are co-organizing the event.
In an exclusive interview with Fibre2fashion, Mr Bishnu Raj Dhakal, Senior Officer, Trade Fair Section, FNCCI, asserted, “There are more then 175 Stalls booked for the fair and products to be on display will include industrial, handicraft, agro, IT and other daily use products.”
More than 3,50,000 spectators are expected to visit the festival that would generate around Rs10 million. The total expense of the exposition is expected be about Rs1.8 million.
Mr Chandi Raj Dhakal, President of FNCCI stated in a press conference that such national regional and district festivals would help meet social, economic, tourism and cultural goals as well as help uplift the livelihood of the local people.
Mr Chandi Raj further said that the festival would boost local entrepreneurial skills, commercialize the agriculture sector and make use of natural resources to promote education, tourism and local products in the region.
