He has also proposed the concept of CNG corridors which would not only reduce pollution as well as costs, but also help reduce the subsidy to corresponding levels by replacing liquid fuels.
The market capitalization of GAIL has increased by over 48 percent from Rs. 23,720 crore on 31st January 2007 to Rs. 35,200 crore on 31st January 2008.
Dr. Choubey was the first oil and gas CEO to ask the industry to follow a collaborative rather than confrontationist approach. This view is now echoed by all the leading industry players.
