Naradhana project to be 2nd plant of Vertex Spinning

Vertex Spinning Ltd (VSL) has informed about the following Corporate Announcement:
- Location of the project : Babhalte, Tal. Shindkehda, Nardhana Industrial Area, Dist. Dhule, Maharashtra.
- Land Allotted : 100 acres in Textile Park
- Project Cost : Rs 512 Crores
- Commercial production to commence : Early 2009
- Employment generation : 2800 persons.
- Plant Capacity : 24,000 MT 30s/40s Cotton Yarn per annum, 4 MT Per day Yarn Dyeing, 18 Million Mtr. Weaving, 55,000 Mtr. per day Fabric processing.

The Government of Maharashtra and Vertex Spinning Ltd have on February 15, 2008 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in connection with the Greenfield Project being set up by Vertex Spinning Ltd in "D" Zone area at Naradhana Growth Centre Phase II, at village Babhalte, Taluka Shindkheda, Dist Dhule, Maharashtra to manufacture 30s/40s count Cotton yarn and includes the following:
1. Production Activity : Spinning
- Unit : 1,60,800 Spindles
- Capacity : 24,000 M.Tones per annum
2. Production Activity : Twisting
- Unit : 40 TFO of 220 Spindles each
- Capacity
3. Production Activity : Yarn Dyeing
- Unit : 11 Dyeing vessels of 27 kg to 500 kg capacity with a total of 1,445 Looms
- Capacity : 4 M. Tones per day
4. Production Activity : Weaving
- Unit : 36 Air Jet Looms and 72 Rapier Looms
- Capacity : 18 Mn. Mtrs
5. Production Activity : Fabric Processing
- Unit : Mercerizing, Sanforising, Finishing
- Capacity : 55,000 Mtrs per day

The total cost of project is estimated at Rs 512 Crores. Shri. Ashok Chavan, Honorable Minister for Industries, Shri Satish Chaturvedi, Honourable Minister for Textiles and Shri. Sachin Sharma Managing Director. Pankaj Vaidya, Mandar Viyala Directors of Vertex Spinning Ltd were present, when the MOU was signed by Shri. V K Jairath, Principal Secretary Industries on behalf of the Government of Maharashtra and Shri. Suresh Sharma, Chairman on behalf of Vertex Spinning Ltd. The details of MOU are as under:

1. VSL shall invest approximately Rs 512 Crores during the period 2007-2012 and provide direct employment to 2800 persons at MIDC area Naradhana, Tal. Shindkheda, Dist. Dhule, a low HDI District of Maharashtra.
