Fibre2fashion took the opportunity to interview Mr Rajeev Bhambri, VP Finance of Supreme Yarns about his opinion on the released Union Budget for 2008-09.

Mr Rajeev commented on the budget saying, “We expected certain export sops from the Government but all in vain. Although, the union has managed to provide relief on personal income tax, not much has been granted to the textile sector.”.

Additionally, Mr Bhambri of Supreme Yarns Limited also stated, “Concessions on export packing credit (EPC) was also not given due consideration.” The budget undoubtedly proved disappointing for the textile industry.
