Chiripal Industries on massive expansion spree

Keeping up the trend of broadening its avenues in value added segment, recently, Chiripal Industries Ltd launched its own lifestyle apparel brand 'ConneXions', with an investment of around Rs15 crore. The company anticipates a turnover of Rs50 crore with in the first year.
'ConneXions' is especially designed to grab the attention of age group of 17-35. The men's and women's premium casual wear apparel and accessory collection will be sold at its first store in the Ten Acres Mall in Ahmedabad.
Talking about this retail venture, Mr Vishal Chiripal stated, “Looking into the booming retail industry and stiff competition prevailing here, we have acquired an innovative approach that would help us to stand different. We plan to focus on creativity in designs and being dynamic in terms of market. Main purpose for retailing venture is to help people fulfill their fashion aspirations at value price”.
Chiripal Industries intends to open 30 exclusive outlets of ConneXions in the next one year. Of these 11 will be in Gujarat - four in Ahmedabad, two in Vadodara and Surat each, one in cities like Rajkot, Jamnagar and Bhavnagar.
While discussing about retail expansion in Gujarat, Vishal informed, “We have selected Ahmedabad because it is our home ground and we are aware of the consumer's psychology here. Logistically too this place will prove beneficial. And, as part of our social responsibility, we wish to help under privileged children of the city and a part of our proceeds will be donated to suitable NGO's for the purpose”.
Further he recounted, “Our Company will also open four outlets in Pune and one each in Nagpur, Aurangabad, Indore, Bhopal, Jaipur and Udaipur. To start with the project we have designed a strategy wherein company will venture into West and North region of the country.”
Mr Chiripal informed that they are waiting for the right time to plunge into overseas market, but company is presently concentrating on creating a stronger foothold in India.
