China Trade Fair sees rise in business deals

The China Trade Fair, came to a successful end in Shanghai recently, with participation of domestic as well as foreign enterprises. The expo displayed products related to textiles, crafts and light industrial commodities.

According to statistics, total transaction volume reached almost US $3.678 billion, rising 3.52 percent compared to previous trade expo. The textile and apparel categories scored around $1.844 billion, downfall of 0.54 percent in comparison to last session. Industrial commodities business saw a rise of 1.65 percent, with contracts signed worth almost $1.595 billion.

The foreign entrepreneurs witnessed an increase in export transactions, with a total turnover coming up to $265 million, enhancing by 33.34 percent.

The domestic enterprises fetched about $1.56 billion by getting in to new deals, witnessing a boost of over 12 percent, accounting more than 42 percent of total trade quantity.

However, various local and overseas enterprises made business deals worth nearly $583 million with United States, showing a decrease of 1.5 percent when compared to previous season.

'China Trade Fair', was sponsored by nine provinces and cities, namely, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Nanjing and Ningbo. The exhibition received more than 3,500 exhibitors with majority of particication from Asian countries.
